A Wildflower

Near the meadow by the brook
where the sweet waters glide through the rocks,
I bloomed like a wildflower.

Fearless and carefree
to the world
that was brand new!

Beaming at the sunshine
I woke up every day
to the buzzing of the bees;

When the wind sweeps along
swaggering boisterously,
with a wink, I began my day.

Life was all about today, every day!
Happiness was in the air,
and the fluffy sky was my only guardian.
