Crossroads

Grey skies, stony ridge
Lover’s lane behind me,
Blue ocean in front.
Yet undecided, I stand silent.

Staring out at the horizon,
Far in the distance,
I see dolphins playing.
How fun would it be to be that free?

A light drizzles tarts to fall,
On my head, my cheek, my lips.
The sea breeze strong yet soft,
Blows by me towards the forest.

Filled with wildlife to the brim,
Overflowing with birds.
The sweet nature calls,
To every passing wanderer.

I was passing just yesterday,
Came upon this ridge,
Upon which I contemplate,
The beginning of my journey.
