Floating Leaves

A floating leaf touched the edges of the stream,
And waited for the breeze to become the wind, to drive it along the stream,
Another leaf fell from the great oak tree that shadowed the brook,
Joined the stuck-up leaf to give a lift,
The two leaves touched and floated by and by,
Until the wind chose to change its directions,
Bouncing, spinning, and dipping into the running water,
The leaves tried to cling on to anything that came their way,
Of course, our course of life finds its companion within itself,
To survive the chasing tomorrow!
