Like Summer

He’s like summer,
His opinions: more suns than nights;
Like the yellow glow of mangoes of mid-July,
When he smiles;
Like sunburns and sweats, at times,
Atoned for by his jokes;
Like clouds scattered all over the summer sky,
When he delivers his contagious temper;
Like a sprinkle succeeding twenty-three degrees,
Cool and appeasing;
Like summer,
He’s hot like summer!
