Make The Way Towards Your True Self !

The lockdown brought about a slew of unforeseen events, some for the better and others for the worse.
It’s like inertia; until 2020, everyone was racing around like maniacs, until they were abruptly and unexpectedly thrown off course by a monster virus with a grand motive for humanity.
But, as an engineering student, what else is more relevant to you than assignments and screwing up your brains in preparing for a job in the IT industry, right?
But don’t get me started on that; all I did was relax in my house, eat, sleep, and set a new record for how many anime episodes I could watch in one sitting, which was perfect for an introvert like me!
For the rest of the year, it was a fantastic way to spend my free time, but I was getting bored of replaying the same day, so I had to find a way to make use of all my newfound freedom to achieve significant goals for myself.
As I flew through the lockdown, I thought to myself, “Oh no, the lockdown will end eventually,” and I’ll have to go back out into the world, do the same things, find a job because college was coming to an end, become a boring adult with lousy communication skills, and so on.
Trust me I thought about it till I reached a breaking point. That’s when I had a lightbulb moment and asked myself, “Is this going to be the rest of my life?”
Is it expected of me to repeat the same life, same thoughts, same destiny for the rest of my life?
I become bored easily, and I can’t imagine living life and having the same daily face of gloom that my parents have when they come home from work.
So, Is it possible for me to improve myself in such a way that I become more enthusiastic about my life? Do I wish to change my destiny in some way that will make life more beautiful?
I wanted to get answers to all of these questions, and I started exploring what makes life valuable lalala.
I observed many diverse viewpoints, but at the end of the day, to summarise all of the responses, we seek happiness, love, and fulfilment in life.
Isn’t it true that all we seek is happiness and contentment, as well as a feeling of connection or belonging?
So why isn’t anyone satisfied with life?
Is finding happiness supposed to be so difficult?
I understand that our parents, teachers, and elders taught us that in order to live a fulfilling life, we needed to get a job, find a partner, buy a house, earn money, and find stability, but what I don’t understand is why people can’t be happy while doing all of those things at the same time.
The majority of them have jobs they don’t like, don’t understand their relationships, and have no interest in anything described above in the fulfilling part.
I, too, have been in similar situations, and to be honest, I’ve had enough, so I’m looking for a way to change my perspective on life and find joy.
So I was like, okay, let’s see what I can do to solve this problem.
I had no intention of making huge plans or doing a complete 360 with my career path, all I wanted was to be happy doing the things I do on a daily basis.
I came up with a lot of theories, but in the end, I couldn’t decide if the problems were caused by external factors or by our failure to pay attention to our own feelings and needs.
Do we tackle the problem from the outside, or do we heal our sadness and sentiments from within, and let the problems disappear on their own?
The answer I came up with was that BOTH are required.
How you feel on the inside has an impact on how you act on the outside.
If you’re feeling down and depressed, your actions will reflect that; conversely, if you’re feeling great, your actions will show goodness and love.
Each action has consequences, which may be either good or bad depending on your mentality.
To put it simply, what we feel is what we do, and what we do creates our reality. Thus, the first step is to heal our mind, body, and soul, followed by actions toward our goals and stability.
The ultimate goal is to be happy, so do things that make you happy, even if they are as basic as watering plants, spending time with family, petting or feeding animals, watching a favourite show, or simply going for a walk outside.
When you are happy on the inside, your actions will be motivated by that happiness, resulting in a reality that is good for your mind, body, and soul.
To fully live a life we love, we must first love ourselves, which will manifest in our actions and beliefs. When you’re in a good mood, you may begin to take action, and success will follow.
When you’re happy, success comes naturally!
Just like that quote in 3 idiots..
“Success k peeche mat bhago, excellence ka peecha karo, success jhak maar ke tumhare peeche ayegi”
However, “living in a steady state of happiness” is the kind of excellence we’re aiming for.
So, if you genuinely want to be happy, you must go and dedicate time and effort to keeping yourself happy.
