Musings by the lake

Resting by the serene lake
Fingers of their hands intertwined
Eyes smoldering the passion in their hearts
The young couple lays soaking up some sun
Fleet of birds chirping
Joyously over them
While they are engrossed in a light banter
Mischievous grins lighting up their faces
Igniting the spark of romance
As they recall their first meeting
When they were sweet sixteen
Since then the depth of their love
Knows no bounds
Mimicking the lake
That looks so tranquil
But has a whole lively
World underneath
