Sky

By Chandini

I look up to you

with longing and awe

I wonder what or who I am thinking of

when I gaze at your beautiful blues

with the fluffy white cotton candies

creating the illusions of castles and dragons.

I wonder whom I see

in your cloudy visage

or maybe I see nothing,

think nothing.

Maybe I am already lost in your never-ending labyrinth

bewitched to gaze with longing and love

I wonder whether you weaved a curse on me

as I stare at the dark abyss that is you.

In the darkness that leaves me blind

I often see your moonstone

and the glittering jewels that hint at your presence

You are my conundrum

and I wonder whether that’s a blessing or a curse.
