It's 5:00 am and the sun, like every other day, has already reported to his monotonous job of showering light and energy on this beautiful planet. Over the several billion years of its existence, it has never missed a day at work; its contribution has been crucial to first creating and maintaining this marvellous array of life and landforms, and then illuminating it with the light we need to look at and admire this creation. Maybe the Sun is too proud of what it has helped create to compromise the existence of the same, or risk it going unnoticed in the dark because it took a day off. If there's one thing the sun has taught me, it's probably commitment stemming from selfless selfishness.
