A Letter To Future Me

By Megha Somani

A bizarre topic that can portray immense feelings and emotions. Where to start from?

A warm hug from your past me or an older version to version 2.0. You have come a long way and you still need to make up the leeway. So just don’t restrain your limits. The ventures you have had in past are ineffable. Those are the experiences that have helped you overcome your insecurities and ordeals. You have prevailed a pandemic. There are millions of people who have died and who have lost their loved ones. Be proud of yourself that you have conquered a widespread disease. If you can defy that situation, you can get triumph over any circumstances. I just want to remind you to be a little gentle towards your body.

Your body has sustained so much. Be grateful for it. I hope you are taking care of your mental health because that is my foremost priority and would want you also to make it a priority. I realized a little later in life that what I always regarded as a little clichéd is staying happy. In the coming years, you will find it a goal. A goal that needs to be emphasized and accomplished every single day. It would make your life manageable. And I wish that at whatever career position you are in, you are loving what you are doing. And lastly quick prompt to you that instead of making your whole life better, just focus on adding good things one at a time and let the pile of your good things grow.

Here's wishing for your happiness, success, and good health.

Breathing under the mask, maintaining a 6ft. distance, and bidding you goodbye to meet you someday, and reading this letter to cherish the good old days.
