A Love Never Had

Updated: Jan 17

By Gracie Tanna

A love never had,

Was once the love ever wanted,

A love which was only wasted.

To the only one I gave,

Who was only gated from

My soul, my heart.

Oh dear, was it that hard to love me,

From the depth of your oceanic heart?

The love truly was violent,

Aching my heart with all the scars.

Was I ever wanted?

Because I always wanted you to think,

That any love I gave you

Was always yours to keep,

Preciously in your heart.
