A Perfectly Imperfect Journey

Updated: Jan 17

By Amrita Sewani

Let me share love’s common trait,

Believe me, it cannot be perfect.

No riddles to solve and no doubts to see,

I call it love, the only truth unfolding in me.

Why do we always measure our mates?

True love flows both ways, never the same.

Is it fair to balance each give and take?

Or can we give more, for our own love's sake?

Must love always be perfectly aligned?

Sometimes it’s whole, sometimes undefined.

Yet through every shift, it learns to survive,

This bond is eternal which keeps two hearts alive.

I don’t need to match his every way,

I just want to love him more each day.

To hold him close, to cherish and care,

To write a story no others can compare.
