An Ode To You

Updated: Feb 6

By Shravya Vadali

You come and go in nerve flashes

And I see you in the lightening streaks

Dawn erupts with coos and chants

As I wait for the dusk to come clean

Survival it is, my love

From second to second

Minute to minute

Hour to hour

And day to day

Until I look at you

And not feel tingles

Until I think about you

And recall nothing significant

Until I turn back

And your silhouette is absent

Until I look within

And sense nothing but numbness

"And sense nothing but numbness" - all the people in their 20s today. So true!
