An Opportunity

By Yamini Iyer

Opportunity is a blessing sent,

A new path on the dead end,

The door to it seems half open

but I wanted to check other doors, when

I kept knocking the doors by the side,

Eyes in tears, in search of a guide

I tried, tried and tried!

When I let myself see

What many doors couldn’t be

Was this door, the unnoticed, as said

I could not believe where it led

No, it’s not so late!

After all the hate

I realised, I was so content!

That it was meant

For me to see it right

When I needed light!
