Beholding The Beauty Of a Sunset

Updated: Jan 17

By Joyal Gupta

The airglow surrounds the reds and yellows,

The sun is woven together,

by emerald threads.

Against this backdrop, I could see us standing,

Hand in hand.

Diamonds reflect,

From distorted Sun as it skims the waves.

And I could see us perfectly fitting,

In this frame.

All the stories those sands may hold,

All the stories those waters are eager to,

But never told.

And all those times I will forget;

Yet cherish the most.

I won't yet still think of us,

Entangled in this tapestry of love.

Beholding the beauty of a sunset,

That never was.
