Believe in God

Updated: Sep 3

By Apurve Singh

When you see forces of service going unrewarded;

Evils going unpunished and often awarded.

When you see criminals infiltrating corridors of power and prosperity;

Your psychology starts militating selfless service, seeing this disparity.

When you doubt whether God is an abstract creature;

Or only found in the whims of a fanatic preacher.

Then think of a green grass found near the drain;

And the hard work of a potter which is washed by the rain.

The grass sucking nutrition from the bulging drain,

Is bound to become dry soon again;

But see the potter’s earthen lamp’s sublime fate,

It kills darkness reaching festive terrain.

It is his belief, when a drunken gambler throws his dice;

He prays God for everything be nice.

So believe, nature is taking everything in count;

All deeds, good or bad are taken in account.
