Bookend

By Deeksha Agrawal

A moment surprisingly, hauntingly,

is so short lived

In a false sense of space I force time

to shape

with my limited perception of it

Truth is

the Sun had always been there in mornings,

and in nights,

no time has escaped from the crevices

of my fisted fingers

If and only if,

I could broaden my spirit to perceive

that time and space are a single quantum from that moment,

I might start living

in definition of forever

Floating in eternity, realizing

as much as I mend my space closer to zero

my time shall become infinity

What else do I need With a never ceasing

flow of love and intense energy

just a life

filled with endless curiosity
