Every now and then, when you're getting on with your day, and you're doing just fine, insecurity creeps in.
It creeps in like a teeny tiny bug- slowly crawling towards you when you are busy polishing the existing tiles and replacing the broken ones by cementing new tiles.
You can see the bug- but the longer you watch it, it will walk towards you, it will get bigger and bigger.
But instead, if you focus on polishing and cementing the tiles, it will start vanishing into thin air, slowly but surely.
But the question is-
Would you pay attention to cementing the tiles to avoid the deterioration of the floor and make it look good ?
OR
Would you keep your eyes fixated on the bug, let it crawl towards you and bite you or even consume you?
That, my friend, is for you to decide.
Because insecurities are inevitable.
You might be working hard to keep your current insecurities at bay, but passive insecurities of the past will creep in every now and then to check if you have learned your lesson.
It seems as if they are always there, like a dormant volcano that can erupt anytime- who knows?
Which makes me think, do we ever get over our insecurities or do we push them down to make room for new insecurities to surface?
