In the dawn’s light, drops caressed the ground
Street lights still on the loose
Windows of glass still shut tight, the wind catching up speed
Cots on the other side, with bodies dozing away
Waiting for the dawn to break, starting the day like a Sunday
Stayed awake till the sunshine peeped, found the sky blazing as I open the door
See there a chair I always relax in, staring into the nature’s gaze
Heavens up there feeling enlightened by a soul that writes about the events in daze
Leaning my head on the stone cold white wall, my core still as warm as a scarf
Wondering if life is still worthy enough to give in all the hard-work.
