Decidious Tranquility

By Nirsha Saravanan

As if I’m in a completely sane world, where all the tortures and troubles were eradicated, as if I was unconscious, the cold breeze swayed across me taking each and every strand of my silky hair; many threads at the same time, like a cat playing with the yarn. The flock of seagulls, which were tired of flying, squawking and enjoying the mind, yet, mesmerizing sunset that seemed as if it was giving birth to the sky, crying its blood, out to the clouds. Freezing salt which was dissolved in the ocean’s saliva, tingled though the tips of my toenails, penetrating through the sand, as snakes that burry through burrows, and rushing back to where it initially came from, like a child on a swing giving high-five each time the swing reaches you.

Every second that I stood there felt as if I had amnesia; relaxed and refreshed without the flaws inside of me, smooth and weightless sand washing off the ground, soothing my feet, like a bird’s feather, calming all my emotions. Gleaming at the sky, at the edge of the colorful horizon, I stood still; stretching my delicate hands as far as I could on both my sides, feeling the pulchritudinous nature surround me, taking everything except me beyond rocks and seashells along with the waves, telling me that it’s their territory and everything is theirs’ not mine; everything in the air belongs to them because, they are the admins of earth.

My eyes clenched tightly sensing a drop of extremely sour water that had entered my blossom lips, as the monstrous waves crashed onto the shore and a pinch of dust, maybe sand that had kissed my eyes. The strong aroma of fresh sea food from the small restaurants near me, began to mix my stomach like a washing machine and growl so badly. An old man taking his adorable and fluffy Lesabso to walk gave me chills down my spine.

Dusk began to appear; the white pearls in the sky leaped to be shown in the magnificent stage of unique glitters that needed to be well admired and examined really precisely in order to be truly understood; just like the dazzling stars inside of human beings which most of us don’t express and most of us blind to see. The crispy crabs crawling back to the ocean, which was their colony, after taking in the pure oxygen directly from the lush coconut trees, that were gloriously dancing vigorously as if they were to fall anytime soon; now or maybe tomorrow. I felt as if the coastal region was the end of my world, the only place where nothing else could disturb or upset you no matter what. An isolated yet, enlightened dream that made me realize that our inner peace is only an inch away from us and it only needs a tiny little view of such places in order to shine bright like the silver sphere above us all, completely erase our false conceptions and lead our life no matter what stops us, just like the sand that keeps moving along with the wind and love the beauty within your own self.
