Desire

Updated: Feb 8

By Priya Patel

[Context: This poem represents the desire of doing something great in life. And this poem was inspired by the heavy rainfall from the rooftop.]

The mud in the rain and travelling in train,

Are the feelings, I want to have ever again.

Rain is the blur, can’t see out there.

Heaven knows all my desires.

Lightning lights like spark to my life.

What if a rainbow shines in the darkest night,

And lights the world with its magical light.

I would peep through the window,

Eyes would shine and God would bestow.

Thunder noise, an awakening alarm.

But from where in my heart,

I got a fire in this storm,

Flaming to its heart content,

I don’t want to loose its golden charm,

As it will help me in achieving, what I have dreamt.
