Embracing Silence

Updated: Jan 18

By Aksa Shafi

In quiet hours, I find my peace,

A sense of calm, my soul's release.

The world outside recedes from view

As I embrace the stillness, anew.

I've learned to cherish solitude's gentle art,

A space to breathe, a heart that's free to start.

No need for noise, no need for fray,

Just the quiet comfort of a peaceful day.

And in this solitude, I've found a profound truth,

That those who crave alone time give space to others, too.

We respect the boundaries, the need for distance and air,

For we know the value of solitude and the peace that's found there.

We don't intrude; we don't impose,

We let others be and let their hearts unfold.

We give them space to breathe, to think, to be,

For we know that solitude is a gift for you and me.

In a world that values noise and constant din,

We are the guardians of quiet, the keepers of peace within.

We are the ones who understand the need for solitude and rest,

And so we give others space and let them be their best.

So let us cherish solitude and all its gentle might,

For in its quiet depths, we find the strength to take flight.

And as we soar on eagle's wings, we give others space to roam,

For we know that solitude is a gift worth calling home.
