For My Daughter

Updated: Mar 12, 2024

By Shivani Sharma

Your wins might get you praise,

But I will always value you more for the efforts you made,

Your looks might get you praise,

But you will be valued more for the smile on your face!

You might be applauded for your intelligence,

But you will be cherished for your humility,

In the face of wins and losses, I will applaud you,

For how alike you managed to be!

Many years later you might be celebrated for where you have reached,

But I will be proud of the journey you made,

And whatever came your way,

You never let the smile fade!
