Heart's a Myth

By Yashvi Raval

Heart's a myth

& love's a game

You played it once

Now you lose every day.

You felt it sour

But there ain't no lime

You're bitter in your taste

He locked the door

& you fell in his trap.

You thought he was the one,

One for lifetime

Until he killed your heart

And took your time

That's when you realised

(That) Heart's a myth

& love's a game

I played it once

Now I lose every day.

Felt like a princess

Only to know you're his mistress

Long gown and an ice cream date

He bought the flavour that you hate.

He tried to make up with a cake

But you knew it was too late

You remembered all the smiles that were fake

The feeling of disgust you couldn't shake

Forget the past and move on your way

But that's just what people say

I guess it's not too late to believe that

Heart's a myth

& love's a game

He’ll make you play once and

He’ll win every day.

Yes you regret a 1000 times

Should have quit from the start

But just like every movie plot

Revenge's the best part.

So...

Heart's a myth

& love's a game

Make your own one

And let him play

Watch him till he drowns in the sea of his own mistakes.

You took it slow

He was a coy

You were his piggy bank

He used you like a toy.

All your dreams shattered in one second

Life was happy until you saw him with your best friend

The feeling of betrayal you couldn't shake

Only the black memories left to take.

Broken pieces of your soul lying on the floor

Nobody to pickup, your only friend with him she had gone

Who to call?

Wrote a letter to God

Telling.....telling.....telling

Heart's a myth

& love's a game

Please don't make it

Only to get trapped in

They will make us play

We’ll lose every day

Don't test your luck

The game's a rigged one

Only the misfortunes

Left to come.
