In the game of Hide and Seek with pain
Pain is always the chaser and you have to hide
It plays with you like you are a little kid
Counting slow, allowing you to find the best spot
Somewhere you feel secure and confident
While searching you it takes it time,
Even after crossing your path it seems to not acknowledge you, as if you’re invisible
You think you’ve done it, you defeated the best player, you won the game
But while hiding in your perfect spot you forget to look at pain
It knew from the start where you’ve been
And every moment you get hope it stretches the vicious grin
It moves out of your sight making you believe it couldn’t find you
And just as your smile gets audible it seize you
You blame yourself for being naïve
For getting a little too happy, a little too soon
But you see pain demands to be felt
And it was proclaimed the winner way before the cards were dealt
