His First Sight

By Amrita Sewani

When I first saw him, time seemed to stop,

His face so gentle, my heart just hopped.

In his eyes, my love softly shone,

A moment so perfect, it felt like magic all along.

His smile held a depth no words could define,

So embracing as if it was utterly divine.

His lips whispered secrets only I could hear,

Like a spring garden blooming, attracting me near.

I looked at him, lost in a blissful romance,

As if fate had written this momentary chance.

But like a shadow, the moment slipped by,

And we drifted apart, under a restless sky.

On different paths, we wandered, unaware,

My love was silently growing for him, binding us there.

I hope someday the horizon will glow in blue,

And there he will stand, waiting, with a love so true.
