In the maelstrom of city lights, I stumbled upon a place,
Where time stood still, and the world's din faded to silence
The starry sky enveloped me, a celestial shroud
Transfixing my gaze, as my feet wandered, unbound
My mind, a maelstrom of thoughts, echoed with a haunting refrain
As my ears, attuned to the whispers of the wind, strained to explain
The source of the hum, a mystery that beckoned me to roam
My feet, now driven by an unseen force, refused to find their home
The path ahead, a blur of shadows, held my heart in its sway
Fear and anxiety, twin companions, dogged my every step of the way
Yet, I pressed on, driven by a force both fierce and unknown
As the starry sky, now bathed in lunar glow, cast an ethereal light on the path I'd chosen
The grass, a silent witness, molded itself to my footprints' gentle pressure
The boughs, like nature's fingers, pointed the way, a guidance both subtle and sure
In this desolate landscape, devoid of life's vibrant hue
I found myself suspended, a leaf on the winds of time, as the rhythm swelled, a nostalgic lament
And then, as suddenly as it had begun, everything froze
My feet, halted in mid-stride, as my heart struggled to find its rightful place
The rhythm, now a deafening roar, shook the very foundations of my soul
Until, like a splash of cold water, reality's alarm shattered the dream's fragile hold.
