The night is sitting beside me, not letting me sleep,
Asking me to share with you the trip that you didn't perceive,
This night has a strange smile like the one I saw two days ago,
She asked me to go to the hostel to conclude the work to settle that blunt ego,
But later I did understand it was a plan made by night to deceive,
Night with Ajin convinced me for the trip making me drunk not letting me sleep.
Rajeesh convinced me to go for a walk around 2:30 at night,
Cops questioned us thinking our intentions weren't right,
Collecting our details, they let us go,
We walked together me listening to his theories, my comprehension in fog,
We reached the hostel at 3:30, the night smiled,
Felt strange, tried to wake up Ajin but he declined,
We called everyone else and I was prepared,
With no sleep and fresh bath, I stared sitting on my vehicle on the empty road ahead.
The seven of us started our ride me going solo,
No sleep making the road ahead go hollow,
Got confused and circled Chalakudy not knowing which ghost to follow,
Later some kind spirit guided me to friends waiting, their bodies in sorrow.
Mishal decided to be my pillion, we started fresh again,
The night followed above us with a wicked smile,
We saw a deer looking at us puzzled,
I thought the deer saw something scary and it struggled,
We stopped for tea and saw cakes in neat pile,
Decided to continue and reach the destination with our will in sustain.
Nature was flaunting its beauty and I was heavy-eyed,
Still felt the beautiful soul singing me to sleep,
Gave the throttle to Mishal and I became the pillion,
Drowsing I heard a huge branch fall down I was in oblivion,
Focused my vision and saw an elephant shouting in anger thought it didn't like my peep,
Animals are strange so did Mishal believe.
Moving into the heart of the nature,
Government made the road disappear,
My vehicle skid and lost balance,
Mishal decided to follow me with Adhnan in distance,
11 kms I pushed thanks to the government I understood my persistence,
Saw a giant red squirrel hiding and peeping behind a branch in fear,
Animals are wired I decided to save the thought for later.
Complained to authorities at the check-post,
Proudly they roasted me like a bread toast,
We had breakfast as the hunger arose,
Vehicle sick decided to part ways in haste we rode.
Hairpins made my vehicle fall,
We struggled through the pins slow,
Saw a rare goat ignorant of our presence,
So, where the rare birds that looked like chickens,
Why are these animals wired the thought began to grow,
My vehicle went faster than wind, death let my profile scroll.
I reached home laid on bed,
Night came and sat beside me,
Asked me if I remember those animals,
I said I do, the deer, elephant, squirrel, goat and chickens,
Night told me they we uncomfortable of my presence,
I demanded to keep the talk minimal,
Night said I was an alien disturbing their existence,
I decided not to return to their home uninvited.
