Loneliness

By Gargi Joshi

In the quiet corners of her world, she wanders,

A labyrinth of solitude, her heart ponders.

At seventeen, with dreams unspoken,

In the depths of loneliness, she feels broken.

Echoes of her voice fade into the night,

Yearning for connection, craving light.

Lost in the shadows of her own mind,

Seeking solace, but solace is hard to find.

Invisible to those passing by,

She longs for someone to hear her sigh.

Empty spaces within her soul,

A longing for companionship takes its toll.

Loneliness wraps around her like a shroud,

In the silence, she cries out loud.

Tired of the facades, the empty smiles,

She yearns for someone who truly understands her trials.

In a world that seems so cold and mean,

She searches for warmth in the unseen.

Seeking meaning in the depths of her despair,

Hoping for someone to show they care.

In the intricate tapestry of her thoughts,

She weaves the threads of longing and fraught.

Aching for connection, a touch so tender,

In the depths of loneliness, she surrenders.

But in her heart, a flicker of hope remains,

That someday, she'll break free from these chains.

For even in the darkest night, there's a spark,

A light that guides her through the dark.
