All I see in front of me is red
Maybe it is all the voices in my head
Insomnia grabs me by the throat at night
As I stay lying sleepless, on my bed
Came all happy to an attractive building
One that for his future was bidding
Little did he know, through the next phase
It was his own grave that he was digging
Money went, rigidity stayed
Efforts were lost, deadlines delayed
Blood, sweat, tears, none could do
As he left wondering in a corner, dismayed
Peers laughed, supervisors could only wonder
Lightning had been seen; it was time to hear the thunder
Help never came his way, all day and night
As he went on to become “The Great Blunder”
Life had gone into disarray
The rope had another victim come what may
Melancholy finally had its way
All I saw was red that day
Another life that the Education System took away.
