Wooden - straight back and spindly-gilded
Mother took seat on a throne-like chair.
Her cheeks kissed by the pleasant sunshine
She listened to birds and humming of bees.
Quest of love-books , first page titled 'mother'
Words of blind-love echoing , "Extra- nine months".
I bookmarked the page to my favourite one
And never flipped over, to the next one.
Stains of red and crippled with pain
Though some power unseen, forbidden her to weep.
Alongwith swollen breasts and feet
Gravidness in the womb, she beared.
In the dark womb, she lightened my sun
I took breathe with her, like fishes in pond.
She made my shadow, she made me whole
I mingled with her like peacock in rain.
I am bound to her nostalgic reveries
While my 'mum' to her ‘chair’.
Her hands feeling me, she talked in air
When tears kissed her cheeks ,I cried silently in place.
