Orpheus and Eurydice

By Amirtha Sreya S

Orpheus and Eurydice,

Two souls whose love always sufficed;

Separated by time and distance,

Taught that to love was to sacrifice.

Harder is the choice I face

To love or to leave?

To wound or to heal?

Piercing memories blurred by familiarity,

Purple red bruises that never truly heal,

T’is the story of Orpheus and Eurydice

The best is to let God roll their dice.
