Been told not to be so reckless
Seeing the world so affected
Missing the warning signs; not being careful
Thinking back in time, those precautions just weren’t helpful.
They say you never understand without going through it first,
And now I regret the way I acted
Lying in bed, with no air to breathe
My people are affected.
Warning signs everywhere, a million cases floating around
Economies are struggling to sustain
Perhaps this was not the time to be so reckless,
I'm on my bed trying to breathe the air.
But to no avail, I'm feeling breathless,
So much so for being reckless
So much so for precautions
And now, I wait for death to pull the plug.
To take the last supply,
Waiting for the last breath
And to see the last of the world,
To never know if we will recover from this.
