Prefer Not To

Updated: Feb 16, 2024

By Prakriti Singh

Prefer not to stand in the balcony,

So you can’t see their agony,

The agony which stays deep inside their soul,

The soul which engraves a fury hole.

A mystery lies,

Behind everyone’s misery,

It could be a history or injury,

Deep inside their soul.

Prefer not to go out of home,

So you can’t walk across sad truths lying on roads,

Sad truths which no one ever showed,

Which slowed their way home?

But staying inside,

Isn’t a merry,

It just makes you less sad,

And makes you little bad.
