“She’s dead sir. No question about it. Good old poisoning’,” said the medical examiner. “Well, then I’ll get started, eh?” said Inspector Lee. Lee was a plain man. He had black hair, and blue eyes that still shone with excitement when he got a case that really challenged him. He was a gangly man, and he wore a brown bowler, a beige trench coat, a white shirt, with a black tie and black pants that he paired with black Oxfords and patterned white socks. The deceased was a different story. Anne Leamon, aged 52, used to be a very famous and successful Hollywood starlet. The Inspector remembered her meteoric rise and her sudden disappearance, as he had grown up with her films.
