Resilience in Shadow

By Humaira

In a world where shadows often hide,

A boy was born, with fire inside.

But life was cruel, hands cold and rough,

His innocence taken, the nights were tough.

He was just a child, with dreams to grow,

Yet darkness wrapped him, wouldn’t let go.

The scars ran deep, beneath the skin,

A silent battle he fought within.

Abuse, like a ghost, haunted his days,

Innocence stolen in twisted ways.

He walked through fire, alone and afraid,

But from the ashes, his strength was made.

Years passed like whispers in the wind,

But the pain stayed, buried within.

Until he met her, a light in his night,

A beacon of hope, burning so bright.

She saw the boy behind the man,

The one who fought but never ran.

Together they faced the stormy tide,

In each other’s arms, they found a guide.

Their love was more than words could say,

It healed the wounds of yesterday.

Through every tear, every broken part,

They rebuilt their world, heart by heart.

But it wasn’t just love that set him free,

It was the strength to finally see,

That men too, can break, can bleed,

And in that truth, he found his creed.

He spoke of pain, of nights so long,

Of silent cries, of being wronged.

And in his voice, others found,

The courage to rise, to stand their ground.

No longer a victim, but a voice for the lost,

He paid his dues, he knew the cost.

But from the darkness, he carved his light,

A testament to his endless fight.

Together they grew, stronger each day,

Two souls, once broken, found their way.

In love, in life, they built anew,

A world where pain no longer grew.

For in the end, it wasn’t just love that won,

But the power to rise, to overcome.

And as the sun set on their shared past,

They knew their love, their strength, would last
