There are many reasons why an individual is afraid of being alone – Don’t to wander alone or not able to be joyful when not surrounded by the loved ones, etc.
Do you too agree?
But, lately I have realized that we don't like being alone because we tend to indulge into self talks when no one is around. And gradually our self start showing us a mirror, in which both divine and devil within us are clearly visible. The shortcomings of ours that were never thought about - they all come to the fore.
However, to face and eliminate those defects is a matter of much later, first of the entire question is to accept the self without guilt of this form of ours. But, most of us, instead of accepting the reality gracefully, take the way of ignorance. And this escapism cost us in form of lack of self-confidence and self-esteem. Yes, our supposed self- confidence is mere hypocrisy, if we don't acknowledge fully both Rama and Ravana within us. It is very important to look at that self-reflection and diligently try to bring about change in self.
So what if one attempt is not successful? Just try again. If a second trial is failed, then try for third time, but keep trying. And while doing it, make sure that you are trying with the absolute commitment. Our commitment towards our self is nothing less than our devotion towards the God.
Self reflection brings self acceptance and once the process of self-acceptance begins, the door to true happiness opens. And one thing to keep in mind during this process is neither to hate the past and nor to be disappointed with the present.
Self-acceptance is the tool that helps us being in line with self. Once, it is achieved, we will be no more afraid of solitude. In fact, our solitude will take us to the ultimate self-awakening.
