Soviet Red

By Saket Kashyap

Everything was started with great zeal

Promises were made

Of an egalitarian society

Of eradication of poverty

Of a stateless society

Of equal incomes

Promises were made to make our life

Vibrant as the Red sun of the morning.

Everything is feared by everyone

Fear has usurped the zeal.

In the egalitarian society there is a supreme leader.

We are not poor as the supreme leader says

But millions have of hunger.

They promised of stateless society that’s why

We have tyrannical polit bureau.

Equal pay became no pay.

We have lost the reddishness of our blood but

Wear a Red cotton cap to save our heads from bullets.
