First sight - flooding in came the talks,
Things progressed and revelations made,
One side gave all, but the other quiet.
Times changed, around froze everything,
Hopes were lost, conflicts in her arose.
Situations reversed,
And came both in front of the other,
Sudden as though,
Fate had made a random error.
Minutes stopped, so did they;
Heat, tension, amidst them strong.
In seconds did reality hit,
And they dispersed,
Brushing off the sparks that flew.
That moment after, miracles seemed to arise.
A blink of the eye,
And you were there.
None knew but our eyes met.
Hopes regained,
Her valentine he would be -
Their relation she dreamed,
Would be how,
Autumn's existence gave spring its beauty.
Yet, stone-cold he remained.
His feigned ignorance
Became the fire,
Burning everything that came its way.
Her prayers went unheeded,
And so did her hopes falter.
Thus, parting ways,
Both took two paths,
Remaining strangers,
As before and forever after.
