The Evertrue Sword

By Abhi Gupta

Light as a feather, stiff as a board, Who can I trust, if not my own sword? The whispers of shadows, the flicker of flame, At some point, the whole world plays the game. Armor of doubt, shielded by lies, I fend off the demons that wear my disguise. Beneath the bright moon, where secrets are told, I carry my blade through the night, dark and cold. The weight of my steps, the echo they leave, Mark paths of betrayal, of hearts that deceive. But sharp is my edge, and steady my hand, A lone knight who walks on this uncharted land. So light as a feather, and stiff as a board, I’ll trust no one else but my evertrue sword.
