The Last Lesson

By Saumya Chawla

I was seven years old,

When I hid behind a couch,

And ate a whole tub of salt.

I vomited all night that day,

But i learned that "more of everything is wrong"

But I don't think I learned my lesson that day.

Because,

Why do I still sit crying on the bathroom floor?

When I knew more of everything is wrong,

Then why did I love you so much that it destroyed me?
