Through the dark and cold depths of space,
I would observe the great vast expanse.
I pondered the beauty of darkness’ face,
And wondered about the far light bands.
I would think about the distant stars
And the secrets they might behold;
What might they do at a place so far,
And what prophecies have they foretold?
Such entities of wonder so far and wide,
Adored by folk all across the world,
Covering the night sky with no end in sight,
Lending us all of its beauty unfurled.
I look up and gleam with wonder,
And feel the joy of seeing the light
That shows only within the darkness,
Enriching the sweet heaven’s delight.
