a carpenter visited the wall of glee,
and did what he was taught.
he drilled a nail in it and birthed debris,
he drilled the wall who had done naught.
dust filled the air around,
dust floated like sparks fly,
an innocent deer hunted by a hound,
words suppressed because of a mind too shy.
days passed like flowing water.
alas an artist came and did what he was taught,
he brought beauty to the wall again,
and hung his art without being besought.
and after days had passed,
the dust flew elsewhere.
the wall forgot the hole in it, alas
onlookers passed with an enchanted stare.
