My feet again lead me to you,
But what will I say when I see you?
‘Face it’ the wind whispered in my ear,
And birds hummed, don’t give in to your fear;
Everything turns bright with the first light of dawn,
And for a moment, my dark yearning for you was gone.
‘Few more steps’, the whole nature tried to cheer,
But my feet grew heavy, as I got near;
Sour memories of what we had crossed my mind,
And I was still healing from the wounds you left behind.
Losing all courage, I turned around and started walking away,
Reminding myself once again why I shouldn’t have come this way;
The rumbling of thunder scolded me for my failed try,
Seeing my suffering, the sky started to cry.
My lonely heart thought it have forgotten and forgive,
But with all the scares you left behind, I still struggle to live;
There were numerous paths that could have led me to you,
But to save both of us from misery, I decided not to see you.
