Each time I close my eyes, your presence lingers near,
But truth whispers softly—you’re not here.
Through the heat of the sun and the chill of the night,
My heart yearns to pull you close, to hold you tight.
The gaze you cast reveals what words never say,
Yet in your absence, I am but a shadow, led astray.
I dream of us, flowing as one,
Like a river’s song beneath the moon and sun.
How I long for your touch, your hands to dry my tears,
To quiet my fears and bring me near.
We are bound, not just by love, but by an unseen thread,
A connection beyond words, where silence is led.
You and I, entwined in soul and heart,
Only death could dare to tear us apart.
Without your warmth, the world fades to gray,
Without you, I fear I’d lose my way.
Yet, in this longing, a question stirs,
A mystery that only you can answer:
Tell me, love, what is truly sweet?
Is it your touch, or the rhythm of your heartbeat?
