In the stillness, I hear the loudest cries,
A voice within that never lies.
It tells me tales of all I lack,
A shadowed path, no turning back.
I see the world through a frosted pane,
Their laughter distant, my heart in pain.
Each mirror reflects a stranger’s face,
A puzzle piece that’s out of place.
Comparison cuts like a double-edged knife,
Stealing the joy, unraveling life.
Their smiles, their ease, a distant glow,
While I drown in depths they’ll never know.
Words elude me, I’m lost in the crowd,
An unseen soul beneath the loud.
I shrink, I fade, I long to flee,
Yet yearn for a hand to set me free.
Loneliness wraps me in its chill,
An aching void no voice can fill.
But in this quiet, I softly learn,
Even in darkness, a flame can burn.
Though I stumble, though I fall,
There’s strength in standing, after all.
A journey within, a path to start,
To find the light that warms my heart.
