Words Don't Suffice

By Sharanya S Rao

My thoughts seem stolen

from the short-lived epiphany

of drowning in yours

I wish for no more, no less

for we already are at the highest high

In silence I soliloquize

fogging my mind

with words that never suffice

To see one another for what we are

and still remain standing by

Within my walls I stayed obscured

but you saw right through

and had me allured

'Anam cara' as the Celtics call it

your soul befriended mine

To say how grateful I am

words will never suffice.
