You End With Me

By Ojeswi Medisetti

Could you delve into my weeping mind?

I can no longer stand the lies you state,

The benignity of death would be your find,

The fallen one’s iniquity aligned

With my deranged kin’s fate,

Could you delve into my weeping mind?

Your ruined sons and daughters are blind

To the flourishing destinies you obliterate,

The benignity of death would be your find,

A wicked smile adorns your kind

When I beg for the harmony you negate,

Could you delve into my weeping mind?

You bring utter disgrace to the humankind,

I sing now with odium on my plate,

“The benignity of death would be your find,”

Your venomous inheritance is timed—

It ends with the lives I won’t create,

Could you delve into my weeping mind?

The benignity of death would be your find.
