Once again shattered
She stood with tears in her eyes
And watched you walk away
Her mind still brimming with your lies

She bent down to pick up
What pieces remained
You stole her fragile heart of glass
Smashed it, and had it drained

Every single piece of it
Once glowing a scarlet red
Withered and shrivelled with every step you took
You might as well have left her for dead

Once again shattered
But no longer broken
Fire in her eyes
She won’t live unspoken

As she picked up the pieces
She smiled, and herself she told
“Pity the ones who break my heart
I might as well be snow, beautiful but cold”

And as you lament leaving her
Swear to get her back you’ll move the earth
She now knows her value doesn’t decrease
Because of your inability to see her worth
