STORM IN A TEACUP

More and more bright faces
The best smiles always lead back to dark traces
And all I can say is
Look up at the sky if you want to watch time fly
And all i’ve learnt is don’t dance to a tune if it’s not yours
She’s fighting storms in a teacup
Her brother doesn’t know what she’s singing
Nobody’s listening
But she’s still spinning and weaving anything that makes her damp hair flutter
Forgetting to ask for comfort but still giving it away like candy
Truth be told, she’s just a trampled soul
Hiding her scars under a butterfly frock
The colourful jewels made her forget she had burnt skin underneath
’Go with the flow,’ her heart said
She’s still finding the course of her still river on her death bed
