The Plea

Oh moon!
how mean you are!
every night you see the dreams
pouring through my eyes
as i silently cry
in the arms of care
which burn my skin
tear my flesh
only the soul lives on
to find its love.

Oh clock!
don’t you have a heart?
just count the beats
as lust waits
outside my door
to meet its prey.
You run even slower
only for the time to defame me

Oh sun!
how far you are!
to reach my desires
and melt the grief
as i lay beside
many of them
but still no one around
to call me a friend ..

Oh Lord!
The only hope
take my breath away
or hold my hands
and gently cast me into the day
for the night has been unkind.
